Boston Public Market
Boston Public Market is a premier year-round marketplace showcasing 30+ of New England’s top artisans and food producers. The non-profit, in the heart of downtown Boston, inspires the community with education on local sourcing, nutrition, and the power of a resilient, equitable food system.
This past summer, I had the opportunity to work with the team at Boston Public Market as their Social Media Intern. Collaborating with their passionate, close-knit team, I learned about the importance of community outreach and purposeful marketing strategies.
I had the opportunity to learn about their mission and goals as a nonprofit and to thoughtfully share them through social media. Collaborating with diverse vendors, each with unique branding and missions, further broadened my perspective.
Listed are some projects and tasks I was a part of when I worked for the company.
Creating varying forms of content for social media pages
Create and execute a social media calendar
Film and edit video content
Design graphics for digital & print marketing
Collaborate with unique vendors to create promotional materials
Create eye-catching flyers and signage
Communicate with the team about promoting upcoming events
Posted live content of events at the market
Created monthly newsletters
Atteneded several weekly meetings
Worked with other interns to create a mock event project
Interacted with vendors on the floor
Assisted at market events
& much more!
